Crashed ! Thousand ! Ringgit ! Plane ! Fuck !

dear reader, thanks for following me through this dull blog of mine .. nonetheless, i js wanna say kudos for reading this . it is some serious dull ass shit stuff i have here ... ahahhaha...

Well, to start things off.. it was a clear sunday morning of October the 19th and I've decided to skip church to fly my new radio controlled aeroplane (trainer plane with ASP 46 engine and 40 size plane - paragon).. alright alright, enough with all those jargons .. Well, skipping church to fly the plane was part of my cool plan on a breezy sunday morning..

The night before i was drinking like a goldfish with Brian, Melvin Ku, Alicia, Swee San, Ling Wei and Choy Fong. We went back about 2 in the morning and I slept shortly after reaching home. The alarm woke me up at 7.30am but I reckon that I should get more sleep because of the drinking session last night. I send a quick text to Raheel and inform him that we would meet in Menara TM at 9am instead of 8.30. I slept for another half an hour before dragging my heavy body to the toilet. Everyone was up at that time busy preparing to go to church. Finish bathing, I hurried down the stairs just to stay unnotice because my parents did not know that I wont be attending church.

I faked up a stories and got away skipping church. Immediately I packed the plane in my car, kissed my mom goodbye and zoom away. I reached Menara on time and met with Raheel before leading him the way to Damansara for our maiden flights (Somewhere near Signature Kitchen Factory).

Reached the spot at about 10am and it was scorching hot Sunday morning! There are loads of R/C enthusiast there as early as 7am. Immediately we could spot about 10 planes on the field and 2 of them are flying gracefully in the air. A sense of adreline rush through and I got fucking excited because this will be my plane maiden flight. I try to act cool so that peeps will not know how jakun am I to this hobby! Immediately, Raheel unpacked his Piper Cup and assemble it. Raheel's plane caught much attention because it is new and peeps are telling him how cool his plane is. Well, you should see the glow in Raheel's face. It is as if the sun is shinning from his face rather from the horizon.

Enough said and praise, Raheel immediately fueled up his plane and tries to fire it up. After a few round of using chicken stick (he uses my screwdriver instead), the engine would not start. To save time, I use my electric starter instead. The engine roar with tremendous melody. It echoes in the field and covers the sound of most electric planes there ! I tried again to maintain my cool but could no longer hold it anymore. I was like smiling but in my heart I was freaking excited about it ! I could burst in joy anytime soon. After a few adjustments, Raheel's bro bring the plane to a take off.

Take off was bad as the plane has not been trimmed properly. It was flying terribly in the air as one side of the plane was heavy than the other. Resulting the plane flying awkwardly ! After a few toss and turns, they decided it is time to bring the big bird down and readjust the trimmings. A shout of "Landing" is a must to alert the by standers to move away from the runway and to clear the runway for any possible take offs. I can see how wobbly the plane was flying low on the ground before a loud thud came ringging to everyone's ear. Crasssssssshhhhhh, luckily, only the wheel of the piper cub came off. Raheel's bro quickly run to the runway to collect his plane to save much embarrasement.

With a broken wheel, it's not possible to fly again. Now, it's my turn to shine !! I was so happy and I fueled up the plane and started the engine. Again, I need to emphasize this, I am a beginner and they wouldn't allow me to fly the plane yet. They need to properly tuned it so that everything goes smoothly before I take over in mid air. They took off my plane smoothly and the plane was responsive to the transmitter ! Everyone's face was glowing and the plane flew smoothly in the air.

He flew the plane about 10 minutes in mid air doing simple maneuvers and out of a sudden, the plane lose control and came smashing down to the ground. You should see the expressions of the spectators and fucking definitely you should see my expressions !!!! I wanted to cry but could not cry. I really don't know what to do ! I went to the crash scene and everything was shattered to pieces. Picked up my plane and decided to act cool ! I'm sorry I did not take some pictures about it because I was fucking devastated ! RM1k gone down the thrash and I could not even fucking smile ! Everyone was like "Owh, it's ok. First time flying is like tht one ! " . What the hell. What you mean first time flying is like tht one. Do you fucking mean that everyone first plane will crash ? Damn fucked up ! Sat there quietly and salvage whatever I can.

Prayed damn hard for the servos to be saved !!! Luckily, there was nothing damaging to the servos and the engine !! I sigh a relieve. Tested the servos to see why the plane failed to climb to altitude. Raheel's bro says that the plane suddenly loss altitude and came crashing down. We found out the the pushrods to control the elevator was loose ! Fucking loose !! So when Raheel's bro apply the up elevator, the plane did not respond and came crashing down. He's smart enough to swerve the plane to the side to avoid crashing on peeps head.

Time to pack up the mess and salvage whatever that we can get. Luckily the servos and the engines are safe !! Fucking safe. Those costs like few hundred bucks each !! ... damn ...
A sight of discomfort I can sense from both the brothers. Raheel immediately suggest that we should go to Amcorp mall to see some planes. I was like "Damn, I need to fork up another few hundreds for my plane" ..

Nonetheless, we ended up in Amcorp mall and decided to go to Wong's shop because he's the only available shop with competitive price although I fucking dislike / despise him ! I mean I do ! Raheel bought the same trainer plane and paid for me. I told him that I wanted to pay for the plane but he insists that he wants to pay for it. I was like, oh my gosh, thank you so much !!!! I bought them drinks in return for the plane !!! hehehehee ...

He did buy another electric plane for RM400. It was a good bargain indeed because it's RTF. Everything included. I think I should go for electric planes too. It's much subtle and not that "xiong" when it crash ! They agree to fix up my plane and hopefully by this week I can get to see my new plane !!!!

Kudos again and I hope this time we learn a lesson or two in this crash scene.
Lesson 1 - Never skip church for flying your crappy aeroplane ! You might not know what you are getting into !!

Lesson 2 - Always use EPOXY !!!! It glues everything and anything in place !!!!

Lesson 3 - When you know it's going to crash or have a bad feeling it's going to crash, ask others to control it ! So that they can buy you a new one ! (Not always true) .. eheheh
